Canutillo ISD names new purchasing agent

The Canutillo Independent School District has announced the appointment of Veronica M. Campbell as its new purchasing agent, leading the district’s procurement and purchasing operations. Campbell began her new role on July 14.

Campbell previously served as Canutillo’s purchasing agent from 2015 to 2016 and brings nearly 15 years of experience in procurement across municipal and school district settings. Before returning to Canutillo, she worked in the El Paso and Clint independent school districts and for the City of El Paso.

“We are thrilled to welcome back Ms. Campbell to Canutillo and count on her wealth of experience,” said Superintendent Dr. Pedro Galaviz. “Her knowledge of procurement procedures and laws will help us streamline our efforts to provide services and goods to our students, employees and taxpayers.”

Campbell holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a concentration in Spanish from the University of Texas at El Paso and a master’s degree in management and leadership from Webster University.

She is a Certified Texas Contract Manager, a TASBO Registered Texas School Business Administrator and a Certified Public Procurement Officer.
