Canutillo Public Information Office Earns 10 School Public Relations Awards

The Canutillo Independent School Public Information Office earned nine Gold Stars – the highest designation given – at the 2024 Star Awards Program of the Texas School Public Relations Association. The awards were in recognition of work done to promote students and employees in the District.

The Gold Stars were awarded in the following categories:

• Writing for its “Canutillo Cupid: A CISD Love Story.”
• Writing for the “Canutillo Kids Deserve It” Convocation Skit.
• Photo Academic/Classroom Subject for “STEM Education.”
• Logo/Trademark/Symbol for “Canutillo Convos” podcast.
• Logo/Trademark/Symbol for “Montessori at Canutillo.”
• Logo/Trademark/Symbol for “Canutillo P-TECH.”
• Video Feature for “Teacher Appreciation.”
• Video Marketing for “Best Weekend Ever … So Far.”
• Miscellaneous Digital Media for “Canutillo Convos” podcast.

Additionally, the District earned a coveted Best in Category Award in Writing for the Canutillo Kids Deserve It script.

“We are proud to tell the story of the students and staff of the Canutillo Independent School District and that these stories are being recognized at the state level,” said Gustavo Reveles, Director of Communications and Marketing for Canutillo ISD. “The Public Information Office takes to heart its responsibility to showcase the great things happening in our district, and our community makes it easier to do this job because of the many wonderful things happening in our schools.”
