CISD Welcomes Students Back in 2023

Renewed energy and positive vibrations filled every Canutillo Independent School District campus on Wednesday as all students were welcomed back to school following the much-deserved winter break to finish the rest of the 2022-23 academic year.

The spring semester is one filled with activities, learning and endless possibilities.

“Our teachers and staff spent Tuesday training and planning the rest of the academic year in preparation for the return of our students today,” said Superintendent Dr. Pedro Galaviz. “We are so excited to see our kids back in school. We are certain that they are filled with the energy and enthusiasm needed to keep our status as the Best Small School District in Texas and El Paso’s Triple-A Rated School District.”

The spring semester will be filled with tons of learning, field trips, state assessments and – of course – end-of-year celebrations and graduations.
